Dental Implants
Permanent, natural-looking tooth replacement with lasting results.
Overview
What is Dental Implants?
Dental implants are small titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots. Once the implant bonds with the bone — a process called osseointegration — it supports a custom-made porcelain crown, bridge, or denture that looks and functions exactly like a natural tooth. Dental implants are widely considered the gold standard for replacing missing teeth.

Why It Matters
Benefits of Dental Implants
Step by Step
What to Expect
Initial consultation and 3D imaging to assess bone density and suitability
Implant placement surgery — titanium post precisely inserted into the jawbone
Healing and osseointegration period (typically 3–6 months)
Abutment placement — the connector piece that links implant to crown
Impressions and fabrication of your custom porcelain crown
Crown placement and final bite adjustment
Who Is This For?
Adults with one or more missing teeth who have sufficient jawbone density and good overall oral and general health. If bone loss has occurred, bone grafting may be recommended prior to implant placement. We will assess your individual suitability during a consultation.
Care & Maintenance
Brush and floss daily, paying careful attention to all sides of the implant crown. Use an interdental brush or water flosser to clean around the implant base. Attend regular checkups so Dr. Karolidis can confirm the implant remains stable and infection-free.
